Agency Columbia is designed to provide valuable exposure to the agency environment, allowing Columbia College Chicago students to contribute to live client projects and learn through practical, on-the-job experience.

The challenge was that Agency Columbia needed a flexible identity that could encompass the different services that they offer due to the diverse student body.
Agency consists of multidisciplinary student teams comprising talent from fields such as design, marketing, communications, film, and technology that work directly with clients to provide creative solutions.

The design system needed to stand out among other student agencies and compete in the professional design market while keeping students at the heart of the design system. The identity was designed to be expanded upon through a website, the office space, and client communications. Columbia College Chicago already had a strong and established brand. We wanted to design something that would work in collaboration with the existing design.

Through close communication with the administrative board and the marketing team, I designed a system that takes elements from Columbia College Chicago’s brand guidelines, such as color and type, to design something new.

The typographic logo embodies the concept of process and flow. The illustrations represent the multifaceted students who work at the Agency.
